th<span font-size:17.5px;background-color:#dfeef7;"="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">, 2014, the School of Liberal Arts, Institute for the Study of Christian Culture at Renmin University of China and Hong Kong Institute of Sino-Christian Studies organized a one-day seminar “In Dialogue with Jürgen Moltmann: Beijing Summit”. Professor Jürgen Moltmann, the famous contemporary German theologian who has influenced a generation with his “Theology of Hope” and “Theology of Ecology”, presented a paper on the theme of “Political Theology and Contemporary China” at the morning session, and five scholars responded to him on this topic.  Moltmann insists that political theology should not just cover the human world but also the natural world, which means that any human social or governmental organization should be environmentally sensitive, aiming towards a harmonious co-existence with other peoples in the world as well as the spiritual world. In an era of when terrorism has become a new heretical political theology, when national security and people’s well-being have been threatened, we should realize that terrorism emerges from people’s minds, and can only be overcome by beliefs. Therefore, the only way to fight against terrorism is to be kind to others, to create an inclusive society, and to replace hatred and indignation with compassion and mercy. The following is a detailed record of the dialogue of that morning.
